Hi !
I have a 32-bit Laptop from Dell. I have Fedora6 loaded on it. I tried to install the 30days trial version of Intel Fortran Compiler Professional Edition for Linux on this machine. On trying to do so, I got the message as -
"The following required for installation commands are missing:
libstdc++.so.5 (library)
I downloaded the RPM of this library from the net and and tried to load it, but I got the message -
" package libstdc++-4.1.2-13.fc6 (which is newer than libstdc++-3.2.2-5) is already installed "
and therefor failed to upload the library.
Please suggest me how to proceed the compiler installation mow.
Please suggest me as soon as possible.
Thanks .

The .rpm for older version of 32-bit libstdc++ should have libcompat in its name. The compatibility library should be willing to install alongside the more up to date one.
