I used compaq visual fortran to write somecodes and I learned that the digital corporation no longer produces one. If I buy the visual fortran compiler do I also have tohave microsoft visual studio.net? Can I compile and run my old codes without any problem?
Thanks

Yes, you must have one of the required Microsoft development products installed in order to install and use all the features ofIntel Visual Fortran. I recommend Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Standard Edition as it is the lowest priced currently available product. You may be able to find a copy of Visual C++.NET 2003 Standard Edition for somewhat less from some resellers. I do not recommend using a 2002 version.
With this combination, you should be able to build and run your CVF applications. If you run into problems, please contact us at Intel Premier Support and we'll be glad to help.
