visual studio 2013 isolated shell interferes with Excel

Hi, about 3 weeks ago I purchased a new Intel Fortran (17.0.1.143) with Visual Studio 2013 shell. Since then I've been having problems starting Excel 2010 on Windows 7. Every time I start Excel I get a window telling me its configuring VS2013 shell (isolated) and this stops me using Excel for 7 to 10 minutes, which is pretty annoying. Can anyone advise?

thanks

I’m not aware of similar reports here. I did find reports outside of our forum from those reporting similar behavior with excel and word and so it does not appear related to our integrations.

There is a discussion in the last thread noted about it clearing after creating a specific directory. It may also clear by uninstalling VS203 Shell and re-installing it as some others noted doing.

Thanks Kevin, the thread about creating the folder did fix it, I think, time will tell. I spoke to a colleague who had purchased Intel Fortran 6 months ago and he had had the same problem but he repaired it another way, but he can't remember what he did.
