I need the intel Fortarn compiler (ifort) to run the big weather forecasting model on Fedora linux platform, just for academic computation purpose, and which version of the ifort it the best for me to use, and especially I can free download from this web? Plesae give me some hints and I will appreciate any help from you!!!

Note that Academic use is NOT the same as non commercial. Please read the licensing carefully to make sure you qualify. Typically you will need to pay for an Academic license. For example, if you are a grad student helping a research project at your school you will need the academic license.
You will want 11.0 version of the compiler for Intel 64 - many weather codes like WRF require the 11.0 compiler because it is a native 64bit application and can handle the memory requirements needed to simply compile the program.
