I'm installing GPA and I can't access a dll file on my system partition, I've set the permissions to the highest possible level and turned off anti-virus software such as Kaspersky, and I'm using an Intel GPU and CPU!Here are the pop-ups that are having problems屏幕截图 2025-03-29 144714.png

HI John-Sammy,

Thank you for your post and I'm sorry that you are having issues installing Intel Graphics Performance Analyzer to your system.

Could you run winver and share what operating system version are you using? (you can run this from command line or the Run dialog using Win+R)

Also some potential solutions are:

  • Its possible another application could be using msvcp140.dll. Try restarting and then installing Intel GPA first thing after a reboot.
  • Make sure you get the windows message asking to run running installer with admin privileges when running the installer. Also ensure your user account has full control over system32 directory.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Thank you John-Sammy for the operating system information.

How did the potential solution regarding restarting and then installing Intel GPA first thing after a reboot work for you?

You could also check if any other processes are using msvcp140.dll which could lead to this error by using the Sysinternals Process Explorer tool.

If we could also get the .msi logs that would be helpful. Could you run the following command in command prompt?

msiexec /i "_______" /L*v "log_file.log"

Where _____ is the path to your GPA installation .msi

Thank you and looking forward to hearing from you.
