Intel AVX on Microsoft Windows Vista

Dear All,
The Intel AVX instruction set is supported on Microsoft Windows 7 platform. There is no support for AVX development on Microsoft Windows Vista OS even though the processor supports AVX. Is it possible that any additional software / patch be added to the Windows Vista OS so that the system (Vista OS) can support AVX.

According to the information we've been given, it was touch and go as to whether Windows 7 would support AVX (after installing SP1), but there's no chance of a similar SP for Vista.
