SDE on Mac won't start

I can't run any process using sde:

$ ~/Downloads/sde-external-9.0.0-2021-11-07-mac/sde64 -- ls
dyld[22977]: libdyld.dylib not found
Abort trap: 6

Using Monterey 12.0.1 on a 2019 Macbook Pro (2.4 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9). Anyone know how to fix that?

This is a known issue. The pin team plans to add support for macOS Monterey in Q1. Intel SDE will support it in the next release if pin support will be ready on time.

This happens even when running with -help-long:

$ ./sde64 -help-long
dyld[23040]: libdyld.dylib not found
Abort trap: 6

It works when using just "-help".

Hi @AdyT_Intel , any progress on this?  It's Q3 and SDE 9.7.0 still has the issue on Monterey.

We decided to drop macOS support because we see no business needs for providing emulation for future Intel CPUs.

The cost and the complexity of adding support for Monterey in pin was too high and was never added.
