I have an i7-6700k processor which does not support the PTWRITE instruction, even though it supports intel processor trace.
I checked using the CPUID instruction: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/40732286/how-do-i-check-if-cpuid-eax-14h-ecx-0/
Can anyone tell me which processors support the PTWRITE instruction?

Hi Muhammad, we're not able to disclose details of upcoming CPUs before they are announced publicly. But I can tell you that no CPU available today has PTWRITE support.

Hello! If I am not wrong, you replied during Kaby Lake's release thus I would like renewing the question:
Among the processors belonging to one of 'Kaby Lake', 'Kaby Lake R', 'Whiskey Lake', 'Cannon Lake' and 'Ice Lake' families, is any model supporting PTWRITE instruction?
I need this feature for my research and I cannot blindly buy a new machine.
Thank you for your support!
