ASF video decoding using UMC

Hello,

as there is no ASF splitter in UMC you have to implement it before use MPEG4 video incapsulated into ASF container

customer is pressurizing to show live asf stream, how to decode

We do not have ASF splitter in UMC sample. To decode ASF stream you need to develop ASF stream splitter

Is Intel planning to include asf splitter in later releases

ASF is a proprietary Microsoft container, not a standard. Therefore it's not widely available since it can get people into trouble with Microsoft's patent portfolio. However, Microsoft provides a free SDK that you can use to extract frames from ASF containers.
