FOURCC code for H264

I want to push the H264 Encoder data to an AVI file. Could you tell me what is FOURCC code?

AVC1 and H264 is the same?

Dear danielwang1971,

AVI and MP4 are media files containers, thus you may save your H.264 video as an .avi file.

FOURCC fourcc.org defines standards for color formats RGB/YUV.

AVC advanced coding, it points to advanced compression formats (codecs) within the MPEG-4 system, such as H.264 video, AAC audio.
