General IPP Questions

Hello,

I just had two questions regarding the IPP libraries. Our company is looking at using the optimized ZLIB components of the IPP libraries. I just wanted to make sure about the licensing of the library first.
If we buy a copy of the library for the $199 price and link it into our project, are there any other licensing concerns that I should be aware of that would be associated with our selling our products including the library code?

The second question is related to AMD processors. Since we need to support systems running both Intel and AMD processors, I just wanted to make sure if we use the IPP ZLIB library, will work on systems with either processor?

Thanks,
John Dunn

Hello John,

You may check the following FAQ on IPP license:
http://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/intel-integrated-performance-primitives-faq/

There is no royalty fee for redistributing the Intel IPP library, but it needs to have right development licenses.

Intel IPP support Intel and compatible non-Intel processor. Note, for IPP 7.0,the applications built with it by default package, need the system haveSSE2 instruction support. Check here for some details:
