Jpeg2000 sample

Hi,

i would like to check if the jpeg2000 sample my compression ratio is 40 and above, is the colour degradation very bad ?

Hi,

we tried compression ratio up to 1:200. Of course with such a big compression there is visual artifacts but pucture still be recognizable. In general, it is known that JPEG2000 provides much better compression ration than JPEG. You can check this by yourself, just take IPP JPEG2000 sample and try it with parameters you like. Do we need any help with that?
