Greetings,
Is there a recent benchmark comparing IPP compression primitives against zlib, gzip etc?
I am mostly interested in text file compression not image compression.
I would also be interested to know if IPP is making use of SSE 4.2 for gzip, zlib, etc.
type compression (not image compression).
Thanks,
Carlos

1 - I am not aware about such benchmark available externally. We need to check.
2 - as far as I know. SSE4.2 instructions were not used for CPU optimization of zlib, gzip and etc.
