Sobel question,

Hello ,

I'm working Edge dection using IPP 6. There issome quesions I'm lost. Could you help me?

I updated two images,

1) Source image(src.jpg)

2)Overlay image( Overlay.jpg): isto overlay source image using Sobel ouptut image. I use both horizonal and vertial operator andthe source image is 8 bit unsigned image.

My qeustion is:

1) Why the result edgeis at left sideof image?

2) I only get 2 edges. I think it should be 4edges retangle since the source image is a BLACK retangle.

I'm affraid I did not get your question. Did you notice sobel filter implementation in IPP picnic application (you may find it in image-codecs samples)?
