simple_player runtime error on virtual Ubuntu 12.04.1 (64 bit)

Hi,

After some work setting up a virtual Ubuntu box to test the simple_player opengl renderer in linux, I ended up with a runtime error:

ipp-samples.7.1.1.013/sources/audio-video-codecs/io/renders/audio/src/linux_dev.cpp:91: UMC::Status UMC::LinuxDev::Ioctl(Ipp32s): Assertion `-1 != m_iHandle` failed.

I can read the *.mp4 file with other reader on this VM.  

Should simple_player be able to work in a VM?  I'm using VirtualBox on a mac 10.7.5 host.

Hi, Sorry, we didn't do any test on a VM. so can't comment the problem. Best Regards, Ying.
