Thank you for the detailed instructions. They did not, however, solve the problem.
First, I did exactly as above, and after uninstalling and reinstalling the older VS 16.11 and the newest 2024 OpeAPI packages, the same error occurred.
Then, to check if it was somehow caused by some residual effect of the first installation, I started again from a fresh Windows 11 installation. Reinstalled the 3 packages (VS, BaseKit, HPC Kit).
I started VS and created a new Fortran console project. As soon as it loaded, I got the same error pop-up:
Then, after clearing the first error dialog, a second one appears:
The end result is <No Compiler Installed> in the IFX Intel Fortran section of the VS options dialog:
Please let me know if you would like any file from my computer. I'll leave it untouched until Monday, then I'll move on towards a different solution.
