HT causes mouse to freeze

Hi,
My PC has P4-2.8E CPU, Intel865PERL board, WinXPpro+SP2. The mouse pointer sometimes (1-10x a day)freezes, only reboot helps then.
I found out that disabling HT in bios "solves" it 100% (just the responsiveness of the system is lower without HT, of course).
Is there anything I can do to be able to use HT ?
(I have latest bios, latest mouse driver, I tried different mouses, nothing helps so far).
