NUC10i7FNB / Intel® Core™ i7-10710U CPU @ 1.10GHz / 32GB RAM / BIOS 0052

Windows 10 and all drivers updated.

This has been going on for a couple of weeks. The fans are constantly running at full speed. Checked the temperature today, HWMonitor reports:

Temperature 0 88 degC (190 degF) (Package)
Temperature 1 83 degC (181 degF) (Core #0)
Temperature 2 93 degC (199 degF) (Core #1)
Temperature 3 93 degC (199 degF) (Core #2)
Temperature 4 84 degC (183 degF) (Core #3)
Temperature 5 82 degC (179 degF) (Core #4)
Temperature 6 80 degC (176 degF) (Core #5)

The frequencies on the cores vary, they are alwys flipping between ~800MHz and then showing something like 2000-4000MHz.

The total utilization is never above 10%

I also noticed that voltages VID #0 - VID #5 vary all the time between ~0.600V and ~1.340V.

Reset BIOS settings with F9 without any change.

...aaaand I solved it.

Blew forcefully into the fan air intake in the back, had a giant cloud of fine dust come out. Temperatures are now fine and the fan is almost inaudible.

In other words, I thought it was a software problem and it turned out to be bad cooling due to dust collection.

You should keep your NUC in a cleaner environment.
