No Compatible disks for Intel Optane Memory

My laptop is Acer Swift 3 

 

Previously I had to reinstall my windows because my windows could not be opened. That is because I removed Intel Optane without deactivating it first. And after I reinstalled Windows, Intel Optane cannot be activated. What I know is that my Intel Optane is read in the BIOS but is not readable in Device Manager.

Thank you for posting in the Intel® communities.

 

I noticed that you opened another thread for this same issue (https://forums.intel.com/s/question/0D50P000049vNdZSAU/no-compatible-disks-for-intel-optane-memory), so I will post my answer here as well.

 

According to your description, the issue is happening because the module still has the metadata from the previous setup. Since it was not disabled from the application beforehand, it is still “thinking” that it is paired with the drive with the previous setup, but now the drive has new data.

 

What you have to do is to reset the module. This process can be done from BIOS, but the location of the option depends on the system, so my recommendation is to contact the laptop manufacturer for assistance on how to reset the module and how to set it up again.

 

The option is named as “Reset-to-non-Optane” or similar, and it is usually located under the Intel® Rapid Storage Technology option/tab.
