I have been having problems pinning certain applications using the Optane app. They would generate a file access error in the app.
Intel customer support couldn't help, but I managed to work out that if the executable extension was capitalised, then it wouldn't pin. If I changed it to lower case it would!
So WINWORD.EXE doesn't pin, but WINWORD.exe does. Crazy.
