Hello,
I’m having a serious issue with my HP Omen 15-Ek0013ne laptop storage configuration.
My laptop originally came with a 512GB SSD + 32GB Intel Optane Memory hybrid drive setup. Everything worked fine until recently when an application crashed, which caused Windows to crash as well.
After the crash, I attempted to reinstall Windows 10. However, during the installation process, only one drive of 27GB appears instead of my usual 512GB SSD. Based on my research, it seems that the Optane Memory (32GB) is currently active, while the 512GB SSD portion is disabled or hidden.
I’ve searched online and found some potential solutions involving BIOS/UEFI settings, but many of the required options (such as disabling Optane, switching to AHCI, etc.) are not available in the HP Omen UEFI interface.
To troubleshoot further, I also:
Installed a new M.2 SSD and successfully installed Windows 10 on it.
Reinserted the original Intel Optane/SSD module as a secondary drive.
However, it still only shows 27GB total capacity, instead of 512GB.
Tried installing Intel RST and Intel Memory and Storage Tool, but neither was able to restore or recognize the full 512GB capacity.
My old crashed Windows installation is still on that Intel Optane SSD (previously the C: drive).
Goal:
I would like to restore my original 512GB SSD capacity and disable the Optane acceleration mode so I can reuse the drive as a normal 512GB SSD, The most important is to restore the Data on 512GB SSD.
System Information:
Model: HP Omen 15-Ek0013ne
Original Storage: 512GB SSD + 32GB Intel Optane Memory
Current Issue: Drive detected as 27GB instead of 512GB
OS: Windows 11
Intel MAS Output: Shows only Optane module (27GB)
Requested Assistance:
Please guide me on how to completely reset or reconfigure the Intel Optane Memory module to recover access to my 512GB SSD, or recover the data on the 512GB SSD . If a firmware or low-level reset tool is needed, I’d appreciate detailed steps.
Thank you,

Hello vish1
Thank you for your response.
I would like to inform you that I have already posted my issue on the HP Support Community. Here is the link to my post.
Unfortunately, the suggestions provided there did not resolve the problem.
I also followed all the steps and recommendations mentioned in the HP link you shared, but that did not work either.
Since the SSD is manufactured by Intel, I reached out here hoping to get some assistance directly from intel support.
At the very least, I would appreciate any guidance on how I can recover or retrieve my data from the SSD if possible.
Thank you for your time and support.
