Segfault while creating altpllpll - SOPC/Quartus II 9.1sp1 on Linux

Hi,

I'm trying to generate the de0 reference design (by terasic - http://www.terasic.com/downloads/cd-rom/de0/de0_v.1.1_cdrom.zip - DE0_NIOS_SDCARD) however when I click generate in the SOPC Builder it complains

"Can't find file <PATH>/altpllpll.qpf"

and opens up the Quartus MegaWizard Plugin Manager

which reports

"Error: Unknown short option -s. Refer to --help for legal options"

When I close the MegaWizard Plugin Manager I see the following segfault in the generation log:

# 2010.02.17 13:26:31 (*) Running Generator Program for pll Error: Segment Violation at 0x20 Module: qmegawiz Stack Trace: 0x11062: QTL_HASH::hash_search(unsigned int, char const* const&) const + 0x28 (ccl_fstr) 0x11161: QTL_HASH::exists(char const* const&) const + 0x43 (ccl_fstr) 0xd2e6: FSTR_EXECUTABLE_TRANSLATOR::exists_enum_by_string(char const*) const + 0x24 (ccl_fstr) 0xde15: fstr_normalize_executable_string(char const*) + 0x3f (ccl_fstr) 0xdf02: fstr_exists_executable_enum_by_string(char const*) + 0x3e (ccl_fstr) 0xe25c: fstr_get_module_enum() + 0x11a (ccl_fstr) 0x23ce5: atcl_initialize_quartus_interpreter(Tcl_Interp*) + 0x355 (ccl_atcl) 0x23f49: atcl_get_interpreter() + 0x3f (ccl_atcl) 0x20843: qui_qui_unregister_tcl + 0x1b (sys_qui) 0x208c8: Qui_Unload + 0x8 (sys_qui) 0x208f6: QUI_AUTO_QUI_TCL_INIT::~QUI_AUTO_QUI_TCL_INIT() + 0x24 (sys_qui) 0x20919: __tcf_41 + 0x1d (sys_qui) 0x2d4dc: __cxa_finalize + 0xac (c.so.6) 0x2d1c0: on_exit (c.so.6) 0x16a54: __libc_start_main + 0xe4 (c.so.6) End-trace# 2010.02.17 13:28:38 (*) Running Generator Program for sdram

Anything I can do about this?

I'm running Quartus on a 64-bit Gentoo - Kernel 2.6.27.

Quartus II v.9.1 SP1

Environment:

QUARTUS_ROOTDIR=/opt/altera9.1sp1/quartus/

Would be great if someone could help me to fix this issue!

Thanks,

Pete

Pete,

Just saw your post; I suspect it is related to mine (http://www.alteraforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20885). Did you ever get any joy? I've just submitted an SR (10748663).
