Can LIDAR L515 be used to map interior structures in a small space.

My client has requested that we map the interior structure of a plenum space that is approximately 0.55 meters in height, 3.75 meters in width, and ranges from 4 meters up to 57 meters in length.

The initial request is to drill access ports into the plenum and perform a camera survey.  The distance between access ports is currently established at every 3.7 meters but can be adjusted as needed.  We know that there are utilities running through the plenum, such as pipes, fans, and conduits, and the interior structural supports - roofing girders.  This survey is currently scheduled to occur in November 2025.

Can the L515 be used in place of a camera to perform this survey?

Has anyone done this previously?

Is there a better LIDAR system to perform this?

Is there enough time to develop the program needed to create the final product system to perform this by November?

I have included some representative pictures of the plenum spaces as we have already observed.

Thank you for your responses.
