FLC support in SGX

Hello everyone!

I have read all the online documentation available for SGX on the Intel web, but I cannot find a way to know whether a specific processor supports FLC in SGX, just by reading its feature page. The only way to check it seems to be physically, when the CPU is running.

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000057420/software/intel-security-products.html

I have also read that the FLC support is depending on the BIOS version.

Is there any way to know whether a specific CPU and its available BIOS versions supports FLC before purchasing it?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Ángel.

Hi Ángel,

all scalable processors starting from 3
rd gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors (Ice Lake), supports FLC if they support SGX.

Support for FLC on older type of processors than scalable is described in the link that you have mentioned https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000057420/software/intel-security-products.html .
