Is this error that you see in the Device Manager? Can you post the version number of the driver and the screenshot of the error?

Can you uninstall SGX, complete the Windows Creator Update and then re-install SGX driver? Do you have the same issue?

Sorry, it is not possible to upload Screenshots. There is a yellow exclamation mark in the device manager at SGX.

Error Message The driver for this device has been blocked from starting because it is known to have problems with Windows. Contact the hardware vendor for a new driver. Code 48

Driver Provider Intel

Driver Date 6/11/2015

Driver Version 1.0.26805.1389

The Windows Creators Update is already completed. Do you mean that I have to uninstall the device?

How can I reinstall it?

Thank you very much.

My Windows SGX driver is at 11.55.34.147 with timestamp of 5/31/2016

Is it possible that you can remove the driver from Device Manager, uninstall the SGX PSW (if it has been installed), then download the latest SGX PSW at

https://software.intel.com/en-us/sgx-sdk/download and install it again.

You can ignore the error message. SGX SW will continue to work.

I will provide another update shortly.

I have the same problem on an Asrock Z170 Extreme 6 Mainboard with 6700k on driver version 1.0.26805.1389

Also tried the driver from the Intel website, but with the same error.

"The driver for this device has been blocked from starting because it is known to have problems with Windows. Contact the hardware vendor for a new driver. (Code 48)"

Sorry, but what is SGX PSW? I bought the notebook 2 months ago and have never installed software regarding the SGX. The driver was installed from the beginning and the error message appears with Creators Fall Update. So what is your recommendation. Deinstalling the SGX device and installing the driver mentioned above or waiting for the update? Thank you very much for your help.

We are working on pushing out the latest Windows Driver update for SGX. It is still being verified and will be published under Microsoft Update Center soon. In the meantime, it is only a yellow warning error message. Your SGX application should continue to work. Please let us know if it does not.

If you happen removing the SGX driver, you can get it back by going back to your OEM driver download and re-install it there.

Alternatively, if you install the SGX Platform Software (PSW) at https://software.intel.com/en-us/sgx-sdk/download, it also includes the SGX driver as part of the installation.

In all cases, you still have to wait for the next update of SGX driver to fix that warning message. I will make another announcement when Microsoft makes it available in Windows Update Center.

The latest SGX driver is available at both Microsoft Update Center and Intel Product download list:

1. Microsoft Update Center: http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=dev_0e0c

2. or Intel Product download list: https://registrationcenter.intel.com/en/products/download/2759/

Note: Installing the Intel SGX Platform Software (PSW) will include the SGX driver. If you download the .CAB file from Microsoft website, one of the easy ways to install is simply to extract it out using Winzip or 7-zip utility and then run the PSW executable to install.

Hi.

An updated driver has been posted to Windows Update.

Please update your driver using the steps similar to what is recommended in https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4028443/windows-update-drivers-in-windows-10. Advanced users can download the driver from http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=c1310f86-2a89-4ed7-b294-5d670d0e7dad and install it manually as well.

Thanks

Francisco
