Difference between Intel Matrix Storage and Intel Embedded Raid Technology II

Hi,

can anyone give or tell me a detailed difference between this two options?

I can´t find informations on the intel website.

What´s the better choice for Server 2003?

I think Intel Matrix is older and was replaced by ESRT II. Also, I think Matrix only worked with SATA.
