Intel Server System R2312WFTZS Update to Current BIOS

Hi,

I have an Intel R2312WFTZS 2U Server which has a S2600WFT mainboard.

The Primary BIOS version is SE5C620.86B.00.01.0014.070920180847

The BMC firmware version is 1.60.56383BEF

The SDR package version is 1.60

The ME Firmware version is 04.00.04.340

The platform ID is S2600WF.

I want to update this system to the latest bios and firmware versions.

The installation instructions for BIOS version 02.01.0017 say my current BIOS needs to meet the following.

  • System BIOS - R02.01.0016
  • ME Firmware - 04.01.04.804
  • BMC Firmware - 2.88.71773d70
  • FRUSDR - 2.04

I cannot find any downloads to get me to the required versions.

Can anyone assist with getting the upgrades required to get my system up to date.

Thanks,

Craig A.

Hi,

Thank you for the responses.

I eventually managed to source the upgrade chain downloads elsewhere.

Hi CraigAAdams,

Thank you for contacting Intel.

We appreciate you reaching out to us regarding the reported issue.

Please be informed that the old BIOS was removed as Intel recommends using the latest firmware update package, which is available on the Download Center.

You can get the old BIOS packages from the Intel RDC site below, but the document will require CNDA.

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/resources-documentation/developer.html

For further details, you can refer to the link below on how to register for a Developer Zone Premier account:

Let us know if you have any further concerns.

Hello SpaetzleBinLinsen,

Greetings!

Thank you for your reply.

We see that you have mentioned you have a RDC standard account. Please note that you need a RDC premier account to access the older BIOS versions.

You can refer to below link for How to Apply for an Intel® Resource and Documentation Center (RDC) and/or Intel® Developer Zone (Intel® DevZone) Premier Account.
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000058073/programs/resource-and-documentation-center.html?wapkw=000058073

Additionally, please note that standard Corporate Non-Disclosure Agreement (CNDA) is required to access the RDC premier account.
If you do not have an active CNDA, we recommend contacting one of your Intel® Representative / Distributors from your organization, who will be able to assist you in getting the CNDA signed with Intel.

Hi Sachin
We do not have an active CNDA. As we are a quite small company we do not have a special representative in our organization.
I already contacted the manufacturer of the server hardware (Tarox in Germany) but they were not able to provide the bios versions.

Thank you for your reply.

As you have informed that you do not have an Intel representative for your organization, we request you to contact your intel sales point of contact or Intel distributors in your location regarding this.
