Can encrypted and non-encrypted SSD drives be mixed if encryption isn't enabled in the BIOS or in VROC management? Are the any KB articles that reference this?

Good morning,

I am using a Dell Precision 5860 configured with a RAID 1 array using Intel VROC. Encryption is not enabled in the BIOS or in the VROC manager. The array currently consists of two 2 TB Western Digital SN8000S unencrypted SSDs. One of the drives has failed, and the replacement drive we received is a 2 TB Micron 3500 G44 OPAL 2 self-encrypting (SED) SSD.

Is a RAID 1 configuration that mixes an unencrypted SSD with an OPAL 2 self-encrypting SSD supported by Intel VROC and the Dell Precision 5860? If not, is there a recommended replacement drive that matches the existing unencrypted SSD configuration?
