MFSYS25 - Is power down necessary for external sas port connection

Can I plug a SAS cable into the expansion port on the storage controller while the MFSYS25 is powered up? I would hope so since the rest of the system is pretty much hot swappable. I just want to make sure since nothing in documentation mentions anything about it.

Yes you can. Depending on the OS and the device on the other end of the SAS cable you may have to restart the compute module for it to become visible to the OS.
