Quadro NVS 440 with Intel Motherboard S1200V3RPS showing garbage during BIOS screen

Helllo, THis is my first post on the forum. Please help me with the following issue.

I am using Graphics card from my old PC on the new Intel server board S1200V3RPS. First I am able to install OpenSuse 13.1 without inserting Quadro graphic card. Then I insert the graphics card and try to start the system. At the time of startup, I see garbage on the two monitors I have connected to the graphics card. Then the linux system loads and the card appears to be working fine and I am able to install legacy drivers for the card on the linux systtem.

However, the issue is that I do not have any access to BIOS screen at the time of startup. Please let me know how can I fix this?

Amit0001, since you are using an Intel Server Board, I moved this thread to the Server's community in order to get assistance.

Dear David,

I did send the email to Intel® Customer Support group as well. They suggested the option to diable onboard video graphics. Upon doing so, I get blank screen instead of garbage value during startup. When opensuse loads up, everything works fine. Anything before that is blank. The issue is still not resolved.

Hi, Fabio!

For the particular video-related situation your Intel server system is exhibiting, we would highly recommend contacting our http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/contactsupport Customer Support team. As you contact them, please, make sure you have the system in question handy for troubleshooting.

No solution found for this issue. Since the system is stable for me now and I do not need to enter bios screen as often, I gave up on the issue. Please let me know if you were able to get to the bottom of this.

Hi, amit0001,

We apologize for any confusion. We do comment our last, internal communication to you via our http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/contactsupport?group=graphics Online Service Request indicated that we did lab-test here, with another similar board, but the scenario was not replicated. We did just notice the http://downloadmirror.intel.com/24419/eng/Release.txt Release Notes for the most current BIOS/firmware refers to a fix involving videoing. If updating to the most current BIOS/firmware (click https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=24419 here for its download), the situation still persists, we would highly recommend getting in contact our http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/contactsupport Support Team.
