W2600CR2 Bios updates

I would like to know if updating to a later bios would disable my processors cpuid on this board ( 2687w C0 QB7R )...also curious if bios updates have dealt with the issue of certain gpus in the last pcie slot causing system instability.

As per the BIOS release notes, the https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=23605 latest BIOS/FW does support C0 stepping processors.
