Hi all,
Could anyone point me in the right direction. We have two different servers we're thinking about purchasing. We are unfortunately stuck with using Server 2019...I know, I know. It's unfortunately out of my hands. Our Dell rep came back with a quote saying the "new" processors in our quoted systems with this - “Intel shows that Windows Server 2019 is supported with legacy features only on that processor". The first processor is a Intel Xeon Silver 4309Y which came out in 2021. the second processor for the other system is an Intel Xeon E-2486 which came out in 2023.
I can't find any hard info that says if Server 2019 is or isn't supported on either of these CPUs, I would assume at least the 4309Y would be based off of the time it was released, but the E-2486 might be on the line a little.
Could anyone help, we really need to order these servers, Thank you so much!
