hi,
i noticed that, at least as late as 2008, intel had produced the MKL manpages for the ifort compiler: https://github.com/grant-roy/nupack-mkl/blob/master/10.0.3.020/man/man3/Atan.3
i was speaking with gennady in the MKL subforum, who suggested i ask the C{PP} compiler team as these manpages were never 'a thing' for the ic{x,p{c,x}} compilers.
i was hoping that the team would consider my request since offline documentation (manpages) would be awesome.

Yes I agree with you that it'd be nice to have it, but no, MKL never provides that kind of man page.

who provided the ifort MKL manpages that i linked above?
was that something the ifort team did separately from the MKL team?
either way there seems to be a foundation for either the DPC++/MKL team to work with.
intel shouldn't be cheap and provide us with online-only documentation. they are the big dogg and they are getting lots of government money (nothing wrong with that, i endorse an intel that produces most of its chips in the first world and if it takes government support, so be it).
this shouldn't run them more than 100k USD in labour, spread out over a few guys during the course of a few months, to get this done.
it would make a big difference to a lot of people.
