We are upgrading our Intel Math Kernel Library from mkl 10.3.9.293 to mkl 2019.0.0 on our linux(64)_g63 and win(64)_vc15 platform.
We notice that for the following shared objects:
- libmkl_core.so
- libmkl_def.so
- libmkl_intel_ip64.so
- libmkl_intel_thread.so
- libmkl_sequential.so
In total, there is approximately 100MB increase in size for these shared object files. As I am unable to download the mkl 10.3.9.293 from the intel site (to verify), could you kindly help us check that indeed the observed increase in file sizes is correct?
Thank you.

Yes, that’s the correct observation. The size of the libs is getting bigger from version to version as the new functions and optimizations are added.
