The BLACS (Basic Linear Algebra Communication Subprograms) handle communication for ScaLAPACK. Since the library is built on MPI, Intel MKL has several BLACS libraries to support different versions of MPI. In Intel MKL 10.2 Update 2, linking the BLACS library for SGI MPT (libmkl_blacs_sgimpt_lp64.a) library will cause some undefined references (see the knowledgebase article for more detail and workaround). This issue will be resolved in version 10.2 update 3 targeted for release this month.
