MKL 2018 vs 2017 Update4

Hi,

What version should be preferred? My interest is in obtaining stable and fast solution for moderate size linear system, under multi processor runs.

In all likelihood, either will do fine, and both will probably give you the same results on any but the most recent processors.

Usually, only a few of the thousands of subprograms in MKL are changed from one version to the next, and a small number of new subprograms get added in the newer version.

+ two my cents. MKL 2017 u4 is the last update for v.2017. All next  improvements and/or bug fixes would be available in 2018 u1, ...
