I posted my problem several days ago (message.id=348), but received a short reply from tim18. So I described my problem more in detail, but received no reply till today. Please, can anybody help me with my problems with MKL 7.0. Here is the description again:
I just installed Intel MKL 7.0 (with the included installer script, no processor architecture choices etc.) and Intel Fortran Compiler 8 for Linux on an AMD Athlon machine. When I run a simple program, which uses the LAPACK band matrix solver (?gbsv), I get an error:
forrtl: severe (168): Program Exception - illegal instruction
Image PC Routine Line Source
a.out 0804B078 Unknown Unknown Unknown
a.out 4009CEA0 Unknown Unknown Unknown
a.out 0804AF41 Unknown Unknown Unknown
The same program (the same compiled file) on an Intel Pentium 4 machine works fine. I use static linking of the MKL libraries. I didn't use any switches for any particular processor architecture or anything like this.
I appreciate any useful help.
Thanks, Jakub
