I always hear that Mac OS is better than windows. I'm not familiar with Mac at all, and I would like to know this in advance: would I achieve better performance (speed) with Intel MKL under Mac OS then Windows OS? Let's say processor is identical.
You may do better with a 64-bit MacOS, with sufficient RAM,than with a 32-bit Windows, depending on your requirements. If both are 64-bit OS, it's unlikely to make a difference to MKL performance.
