In our application, where we use Pardiso for solving large linear systems, the user input model can easily lead to very very large matrices and we need to be able to give the user a chance to cancel a computation that is taking too long (the only other option being for the user to kill the application all together). This is of utmost significance for us and currently is not supported under TBB. It is not the progress information that is vital for us, but the ability to stop the computation. For internal reasons we cannot run Pardiso with OpenMP. I would like to plead with MKL development team to please support this uniformly. This is not a luxury but an absolute necessity for us.

Bardia, that's would be a useful feature, but I suggest you submit this Feature Request to the Intel Online Service Center.

Where exactly? Googling and following through Inte Online Service Center didn't lead anywhere related.
