The size of MKL has grown quite a bit over the years.
This is a problem when distributing this library as a part of a software product (large product download sizes).
Does the Intel MKL team make any recommendations to pare down the size MKL to manageable sizes?
Also, are there versions of the Intel MKL libraries which provide the same functionality, but are smaller in download size?

Hi Arnoud,
Wow, you collected all of them, thank for the raising the question :).
Yes, if you want to pare down the MKL dll size, you may choose custom DLL as Tim mentioned https://software.intel.com/en-us/node/528362
One more comment, MKL can be installed from Suite (like Composer/MKL/2017.1) or standalone version (may be smaller than composer version)
Thanks
Ying

Ok, thanks. The page about customized DLL's could be very handy.
In the past, installing the intel fortran runtime on Windows required administrator rights. Is that still the case today? The download page does not specify.
