is there a 32 bit version of the 2024 MKL library

I updated my oneAPI base and HPC tool kits to version 2024 and would like to install a 32 bit version of the MKL library.  While there is link on the download page to a 32 bit version of the oneAPI base toolkit, it seems to download the 64 version.  Did Intel do away with the 32 bit version?

Hi,

Apologies for the inconvenience caused.

>>While there is link on the download page to a 32 bit version of the oneAPI base toolkit, it seems to download the 64 version.

The 32-bit binaries can be obtained as a standalone package. We recommend downloading the 32-bit binaries from the following link:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/tools/oneapi/base-toolkit-download.html?operatingsystem=window&distributions=offline

>>Did Intel do away with the 32-bit version?

No, as you could see 32-bit libraries were available on the download page. Please refer to the release notes for more details.

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/articles/release-notes/onemkl-release-notes.html

Thanks & Regards,

Aryan.

Hi,

Thanks for posting in Intel Communities.

We would like to inform you that the Intel® oneMKL 32-bit binaries were deprecated in the Intel® oneMKL 2024.0 release. Kindly refer to the below link for more details regarding the same. Please consider upgrading to our 64-bit options.

The link you download is STILL the 64 bit version, I'm having the same issue today.  Even when going down to get the 32 bit version, it downloads the 64 bit version.  the link explains that you need the 64 bit version first, and that is available with the "get it now" button, but it never reaches step 2, where you can get the 32 bit version.  it's like a link is missing.

I have not been able to download the 32 bit libraries.  All the links you have posted point to the same 64 bit libraries.

While I understand that we should all just migrate to 64 bit apps, some of use used the Xeffort project to talk to the windows api.  Xeffort was written as a 32 bit library and it is not easy to simply migrate it to 64 bits.  If you think I don't know what I am talking about, try it yourself and let me know how you make out.

I will start another thread asking about migrating Xeffort.

Hi @AryanK_Intel ,

I am currently experiencing the same issue. Unfortunately, I am unable to locate the 32-bit binaries through either link. Just as @Ray_R_ described it, only the 64-bit version is made available.

We can see in the MKL 2023.2 Release Notes :

Intel® oneMKL 32-bit binaries will be deprecated in the upcoming Intel® oneMKL 2024.0 release and targeted to be removed after one year deprecation notice period.

It means that the 32bit version should be still available with oneMKL 2024.0.

Hi,

Got the same issue and completely agree with Guillaume_A_ comment about availabilty. Deprecated does not mean removed !

Best regards,

FYI it seems that download links for the 32bit version have been fixed during the week-end.

Yes, That's correct I was able to download the 32bit version (at least its size differs from the previous file which had the same size as the 64bit module).

Hi Ray_R & Everyone,

We've tried installing the 32-bit binaries and we could see corresponding libraries under the respective paths, could you please try re-installing 32-bit binaries from the following link and let us know if the issue persists?

Attached is the screenshot for your reference.

Thanks & Regards,
