How to judge if one kind of CPU support vPro?

I am very curious, which kind of CPU can be marked "vPro" symbol? Any definite standard from Intel?

Can we judge this in other way? Such as an utility application, or SDK from Intel, or Windows API....

The processor needs to support certain capabilities to be designated as an Intel vPro processor.

You can look up your processor on http://ark.intel.com http://ark.intel.com and then check the specifications. Intel vPro Technology is listed as one of the technologies in the list of specifications.

Thanks, Steve.

"The processor needs to support certain capabilities to be designated as an Intel vPro processor."

So what are the certain capabilities? As I know, VT and integrated graphics chip should be supported by vPro processors, right? Any others?

Even more crucially, if a processor has all of the capabilities, can we ascertain that it's a processor with vPro supported?

I don't have a list of the differences between the Intel vPro processors and the non-Intel vPro capable processors. To have an Intel vPro Technology capable system, you must have the processor, chipset, network adapter, and other components. If your system has all the required components then the OEM can get the Intel vPro badge. The brand requirements are available to the OEMs. If your system has the Intel vPro badge, then it will qualify if you add the right processor.

To find a processor that is capable of supporting Intel vPro technology on your system, first look at your motherboard specifications to see what processors are supported, then check out ark.intel.com. That site sill show you if it is an Intel vPro capable processor.

Example: Intel® Core™ i5-2500 Processor
