I have a 12th gen i5 12400. I've set up amt and tried out the hKVM. everything worked perfect so I went ahead and orders 4 more. After I built the pcs I've decided to upgrade them and now kvm is no longer supported.
There is no way to downgrade the ME framework so my question is this.
Is this a temporary bug? Will the next update fix it?
Is there any plans from intel to let us downgrade the ME framework?

Hello Sak,
Thank you so much for contacting Intel customer support,
To investigate this situation of yours further on our end we will require the information below:
- What software are you using for KVM?
- What AMT version is the one currently being used in your systems and what was the previous one before the update ocurred?
- So far from what we understand you have 5 endpoints, how many are you planning to deploy if the problem gets fixed?
- Please provide the exact steps you followed to configure AMT. If possible send us either the link or the document used in your next response.
- Is AMT enabled in BIOS for all of your endpoints?
Best regards,

Hello Victor,
Thank you for the reply.
1. I have used Intel Manageability Commander and Mesh Commander.
2. the Intel ME version is 16.1.27.2176V2 and if I am not mistaken the motherboard came with the 16.1.25.2020 Version.
3. To be honest that's not my concern , my problem is the same even if I had 1 motherboard. If I could resolve the kvm support issue I will see what software I will use.
4. I start off by enabling the AMT in the Bios advanced settings and then change the default password in the MEbx, after the password change i go to all the setting one by one and configure it, before the ME update there was the kvm option in the user consent and the redirection port if I am not mistaken( it was in the same menu when you enable SOL and storage redirection i think, I don't have the older version to double check it)
5. Yes, I can connect to all my systems, the problem is that there is no longer the kvm option.
So my motherboard is Asus Pro Q670M-C-CSM ( vpro enterprise ready) and my cpu I5 12400.
Thank you again for the reply and I hope we can resolve this issue.

Hello Sak,
Thank you so much for your response.
Please find some of your questions answered below:

R/ We don’t have any bug reported so far; however, if more reports like yours get done our team will definitively investigate this further to see if there is truly a problem with the latest update.
Is there any plans from Intel to let us downgrade the ME framework?
R/The ME revision along with the AMT revision is one of the many things included in a BIOS update, since your system is an OEM one you will have to contact the manufacturer of it to see exactly what things could happen if your FW gets downgraded; but from our end, there is no way to downgrade the ME let alone AMT.
Additionally, just so you can be aware since you mentioned that you have used Manageability Commander and Mesh Commander, as of now the only software for KVM that is being actively supported on our end is our Intel® Endpoint Management Assistant (Intel® EMA), this since Manageability commander is not being updated as frequently as EMA and with newer versions of AMT it might have issues while it’s being run and Mesh commander has been fully decommissioned by its developers; therefore, no support will be provided for it.
Best regards,
