Hi Guys,

We have setup the Intel EMA in test environtment. We have planned to use only in band management with the Intel EMA. As per the Intel EMA document, we can manage devices in EMA without AMT and can use in band features. We can onboard devices to EMA using agent installation and the device communicted to the server.

We have a VPN network where user will connect when they are connecting to the pulic network. But many of the machines will not connect to VPN and only working with Public network.

When machine connected to office network or VPN, we can manage the device and is showing connected in EMA portal but when it is in public network, we are not able to connect to the remote machine and is showing not connected.

Could you please let us know what are the points to check to get the device connected to EMA server over the public network?

We have a corporate domain and device connected to domain even when connected to public network.

Hello Giri,

Good day.

Please let us know which mode of configuration is used (ACM or CCM) for the endpoints over the public network (Out of Band), so that we can let you know the checkpoints that needs to be verified.

Also provide us the below details.

OS version of the Server

SQL version

Authentication mode: Local, Azure AD, or Windows AD

Intel® EMA software version:

FQDN:

Certificate vendor:

Please share us the ECT log of the endpoint which is Out of band under consideration and error screenshot if any.

Intel® EMA Configuration Tool (ECT) Logs:

Download the tool from the following link: Intel® EMA Configuration Tool

Installation:

Download and unzip the tool.

Double-click the .msi file and follow the installation prompts.

Run the Tool:

a. Open a command prompt as an administrator (or use Windows PowerShell*).

b. Navigate to the installation folder (default: C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\EMAConfigTool).

c. Run the following command:

EMAConfigTool.exe --verbose
