core processors

i want to buy a new laptop but i got stuck on processors family.

i dont know what is the difference between core i3 and 2nd generation core i3.

i need help from any one

If you go to ark.intel.com and select two processors, you can compare the features. The 2nd generation processors have model numbers in the 2000-2999 range. Here is an example showing two Intel Core i3 desktop processors:
