I noticed that the information and downloads page for the older 2016 RealSense SDK has been updated with tutorial resources and a download link for the '2016 R2' SDK version (absent for a long time and only downloadable by direct URL til now).

Please note that the 2016 SDK does not have support for the 400 Series cameras, and supports F200, R200 and SR300 in its '2016 R2' version, and F200 and SR300 (no R200) in its '2016 R3' version. It should work with the new SR305, as it has an SR300 camera inside.
'2016 R2' is the easiest version to install, as it is a single 1.8 gb installation file download that contains everything. '2016 R3' is modular and must be installed in sections, with the 'Essentials' module first and then optional modules for any specific additional features you need, such as hand / face tracking and 3D scanning.
