Hi all,
I may have overseen it, but could not immediately find what the 9-pin port (with magnetic fix) on the D415 camera is for? Will it be for multi-camera sync?
Could it replace the USB-C port? I am trying to set up different sensors for a broader field of view, but the rather bulky USB connector is in the way.
Thanks!
Roger.
Edit: per extension; how many sensors do you think we could link via a USB (C) 3.1 hub? I'm thinking bandwidth and power consumption.

The pins under the removable cover are for syncing the camera by connecting it to other devices, yes. Intel is still working on developing the software support for this feature. You can read about it in this Intel white paper on connecting multiple cameras:

Page 46 of the data sheet document also describes this interface and its pin-out details.
