That was disappointing news I read on the web page this morning.

Speaking of the principles of logistics, I'm reminded of a popular dollar-store chain who couldn't buy in new stock because their warehouse was full of old stock they couldn't sell, such as a million candles and there was nowhere to put new goods. They brought in a trouble-shooter expert to try to solve the problem, and they asked him what they could do about the situation of having a million candles. "Stop buying candles!" he told them.

A german distributor told me yesterday that they will start shipping the D435 by the second week of January. The Click Store Support didn't comment this and couldn't give me any specific release date, but i really hope they will have the new RealSense generation in stock earlier.

That timeline would be consistent with the report of another user who was recently quoted a wait of at least six weeks by major Intel Approved Distributor company Mouser before they would have stock of the D-cameras. I would expect the Click store to be first to have stock earlier than that though.

Thanks Josh! At last some dates, very welcome information indeed. I'm in the same situation as many others in this thread and eager to explore this promising technology. I tried to sign up for an engineering demo but the service was down for some reason. Are there any other options available? Would be great if we can start evaulating already now in December and then start integrating the cameras into our solution by the time it's commercially available. Thanks.
