I always recommend Rutronik as a source for the 10 pin module cable to connect to the interposer adapter.

So, with this cable and adapter, can I use the SR 300 module like the SR 300?

It should do. Before the adapter existed, you had to purchase two connector parts (a receptacle and housing) that formed a USB connector to plug a USB cable into. There parts are very hard to obtain though. I believe the USB adapter board avoids this need by providing the connector on its board.
