Hi everyone,
A new, cheaper model of Raspberry Pi 3, the Model A+, has launched at a lower price point of $25. The trade-off for the lower price is 512 MB memory instead of the 1 GB memory of the Model B.
The enhancements over the older Model B include:
- Bluetooth 4.2 (upgraded from Bluetooth 4.1)
- Improved USB mass storage boosting and thermal management
This board release marks the end of the 3+ platform as the Raspberry Pi Foundation moves on to exploring areas such as new silicon and memory technology.

Spec comparison of Model A+ versus Model B can be found here:

As the A+ is a similar specification to the Model B, Intel's guide to installing Librealsense on Pi 3 should still apply.
